<内容の要約>
Reading and writing are fundamental to improving our communicational skills. The integration of new concepts as well as new ways of thinking is crucial for our self-development regardless of our age. The chosen reading material will introduce us to the world of "Consilience" (unity of knowledge), where we will be crossing the boundaries between science and humanities.
Our new discoveries will bring us together to analyze and discuss their meaning. Students will develop and strengthen their personal opinion as well as their flexibility to listen and incorporate other people’s thoughts and ideas

Use strategies to guess meaning before consulting a dictionary
Discuss and exchange ideas about the material and its applications
Work individually and in groups

準備学習の内容・学ぶ上での注意
Be involved during class and actively participate by stating your ideas.
You are required to formulate and answer questions to and from your classmates about the reading topic.
Understand the importance and how to apply new knowledge.
Use of English Language dictionary rather than an English/Japanese dictionary is recommended.
