<内容の要約>
In this summer experience, students will develop ideas and creative ways of using and improving their conversational,
reading and writing English skills through a creative communicational project.
These skills will help students improve their EIKEN and TOIEC scores by reading, watching videos and lectures about contemporary issues.
To strengthen students’ ability to talk in English a Skype live talk will be scheduled with Mrs. Coveney (School teacher)from Australia and recorded interviews with Mr. Kuwabena (Economy university student) from Ghana and Mrs. Dominguez (Environmental activist) from Spain.

Learn effective ways to acquire new advanced vocabulary
Learn tips for reading and understanding meaning of advanced reading and listening material without a dictionary

授業のながれ
Day I. Ice breaking. Using mind maps as a new learning tool.
Day I. Levels of influence in a group individual/intrapersonal and interpersonal.
Day I. Reading about happiest countries in the world (National Geographic Magazine)
Day I.Video: Community in a developing country. Analyze and discuss.
Day II.Research(read) and talk about an ideal community.
Day II.Use new vocabulary from research to write ideas.
Day II.Design interview . Prepare Skype talk.
Day II. Practice reading out loud.
Day III.Skype talk with Australia.
Day III. Watching interview from Ghana and Spain and making a video-answer.
Day III. Collaborative writing for your ideal Community Hub (C. Hub)
Day III..Reading practice for a presentation. Present C.Hub idea to a “Banker”. Q&A.
Day IV. Present C.Hub idea to a “Banker”. Q&A..
Day IV. Presentations, comments and feedbacks.
Day IV. Conversations and conclusions. Feel good about your accomplishments.

準備学習の内容・学ぶ上での注意
Students will participate in class both individually and in groups.
Students are expected to talk, answer questions about their ideas, listen to their classmates, make comments and ask questions.
Cell phones can be used as a tool for voice recording and taking videos.
We will visit the library, use personal computers or laptops for research.
