<内容の要約>
This is the first semester of a two semester sequential course designed to introduce the student to masterworks in English Language Literature. The role of these works in shaping Western Culture will be explored in detail.

The student will be able to explain and appreciate key works from the Britishand North Americaliterary traditions
The student will be able to outline the basic historical development of the English language.
The student will be able to identify and summarize key literary works from each of the major historical periods.

準備学習の内容・学ぶ上での注意
The students should expect an English-only classroom environment. The student will need to access on-line resources as home work each weekin order to fully participate in the class.
