<キーワード> various techniques of literary analysis key works in both British and North American traditions <内容の要約> This is the second semester of a two semester sequential course designed to introduce the student to masterworks in English Language Literature. The role of these works in shaping Western Culture will be explored in detail. <学習目標> This class will focus on the changes in the English Langusge which occurred over time. Students will be asked to analysize each work on its own merits as well as against its cultural/historical background. |

Students will be tested for comprehension following each section. Each class member must submit an essay on any literary work agreed upon by student and teacher. A final comprehensive will also be given. |
