<内容の要約>
In this course the students will develop pronunciation and listening skills as the basis for phonetic understanding. Understanding sentences by focusing on meaning rather than analyzing individual words. Special emphasis will be placed on moving into longer and more challenging material.

Students will be able to get an idea of what the reading material is about by “scanning it briefly”
Students will be able to use reading strategies
Students will be able to make an outline of the text and summarize
Students will be able to challenge themselves to read more advanced material

準備学習の内容・学ぶ上での注意
The students are expected to review high school English. Students will be asked to write simple definitions of words and make sentences with the new vocabulary. Collaborative writing activities: magazine images will be utilized to make a flier. Real objects or photographs will be used to write a short story.
